The right way to store and transport wire and cable products

The storage and transportation of wire and cable products are two very important links. If the storage and transportation methods are improper, the quality of wire and cable products will be damaged and the safety of use will be affected. So, when storing and transporting cable products, what do we need to pay attention?
The following are the six matters needing attention in the storage and transportation of wires and cables listed for everyone:
1, when the cable is stored, it is strictly prohibited to contact with acid, alkali and mineral oil, and to be isolated from these corrosive substances;
2. There shall be no harmful gases that destroy insulation and corrode metals in the warehouse where cables are stored;
3, as far as possible to avoid in the open air to bare way to store the cable, cable tray is not allowed to lay flat;
During the storage period, the cable should be rolled regularly (once every 3 months in summer, and other seasons can be postponed as appropriate). When rolling, roll down the side of the storage tray and roll it up to prevent the bottom from getting damp and rotting. Always pay attention to whether the cable head is intact during storage;
5. The storage period of the cable is limited to the ex-factory period of the product, generally not more than one and a half years, and the longest is not more than two years;
6. It is strictly forbidden to drop cables or cable trays from high places during transportation, especially when the temperature is low (usually about 5 ℃ and below), throwing and dropping cables may cause insulation and sheath cracking;
7. When lifting packages, it is strictly prohibited to lift several plates at the same time. On vehicles, ships and other means of transport, the cable reel should be fixed with a suitable method to prevent mutual collision or overturning to prevent mechanical damage to the cable.
